There she be! Yo noggeythenog, thanks for the welcome. I basically went down the ECU remap route as after researching both routes, and hoping to keep the Yam for a good while, I decided the ECU remap route was the best way forward. I believe the ECU in modern bikes such as the FZ1 offer more in terms of adjustability, and ensuringvthe bike runs at its optimal performance. I'm by no means a whizz kid in thiz area, although after much research, and speaking to a guy who had his ECU remapped over in the states on the other forum, I decided to give it a go. I will try and pisf up the link of my experience on here! By gojbg down this route I do not need a PC, and the ECU can do everything a PC can and then some. Only downside is when comjng to sell the bike I will be selling it with the flash too, although it will only make the bike sell easier. With the sprocket changes in addition to the ECU remap, it performs how Yamaha should have made it! I am on the lookout for an aftermarket shock though, although it appears I'll be waiting a while for one at a decent price, may just have to stump up the cash for a new one, nevermind it'll make the bike that much sweeter!
