Ripped the META alerm of my bike and bypassed it using a paper clip, couldn't get any wires securley into the connectors, started first time, 
Only to find where I've sited my scottoiler is directly above the area where the alarm was spliced into the main loom and overtime any oil leaks (during filing) has dripped onto the area and all the loom tape has come adrift in the area and may be causing my cutting out issue. Need to clean the area and re-tape all the single connections and loom.
Any ideas of best cleaning fluid to remove the oil residue without causing more long term problems? I was actually thinking of using Brake and clutch cleaner (quick flash off time and fairly heavy duty).
