Personally, I'd get a pro to do it. You've spent the money buying it, the last thing you want to do is get it wrong, particularly if it's you first time reupholstering something. If it was fractionally off centre, or a little bit baggy, it would annoy the hell out if me.
Also, if the professional messes up, you should be covered in getting a replacement.
In my experience, it's great to do something yourself, but when you want it to look like a professional job, best get someone who does it every day to sort it.
