I remember the day my brother took me to Rayners on the back of his 650:
Me: Got any Saturday jobs?
Dave Rayner: Yeah, ok, be here at 9am sharp, and every foccer works!
He used to call me "supersonic" cos I got all the bikes in the showroom polished and gleaming so quickly :lol
I also remember in those days, on a Saturday, the queue for the parts counter sometimes extended through the shop, out the door and round the corner - couldn't imagine that today.
I remember all the people who worked there: Chris, in the workshop, who helped me with the 650, Pat and Charlie on the parts counter - Pat had a Ducati 860GTS. And not forgetting Brian "When the Cat's Away" ( :lol) in sales.
I was in my elephant there, and the bike addiction got in deep
It's been my evening escape for a couple of weeks - don't know what to do with meself now :\
