Whoa there - I had Krauser panniers and a Givi top box on my FJ1200 for 15 years and it was a faultless set. I like the Krauser panniers because they are slim but still have plenty of capacity, but preferred the Givi box because of its capacity.
When Liz needed a top box for her Fazer 1000, she demanded the Givi - because it took 2 full face helmets - so I got a Krauser top box to match my panniers - every bit as good, but without the capacity, hence the Givi wins.
Then, 2 years ago, our son needed a top box for his Fazer 600 - we got a Givi rack, but then bought a £50 cheap top box that fit the Givi rack perfectly. In use, even though it feels thinner and "cheaper" than the Givi, it's been perfectly useable, waterproof and looks very nice - every bit as good as the Givi in anything "measurable", but lacking the "air of quality".
Would I spend £50 on another "copy" or pay +£200 for a Givi - so far, it would have to be the "copy".
