I have never met you Nick but always enjoy reading your posts & your pics are top class!
Sadly we all get older and something has to give. My Dad was 79 when he died and I knew when he decided to stop fighting his illness-that was 19 years ago and I miss his wise words.
My Mum is nearly 87 & moved in to my sisters house in Cornwall 2 years ago as she had become physically frail. Consequently my other sister & I regularly makeĀ 600 mile round trips to give 1st sister breaks. Not so bad this time of year but not so good in the winter months.
Lost my partner to the dreaded "C" 6 years ago-It was an indescribable experience-she was only 55 and my brother in law succumbed to prostate cancer 2 years ago-age 64.
Wheres this leading?-lifes tough sometimes as you know but for me now I try to live every day to the full-Im 66 and not in the best of health-but the things I see & feel when riding my beloved Rhondda Red-well briefly I become 16 all over again! Nil carborundum desperandum mate, & when you feel crap talk to us-no one escapes times of difficulty in this life. Best wishes to you & your Dad.
