So, I've now got my own personalised thread! Jeez, can't a guy get any peace around here?! :lol
Funny how everything happens at once, innit? (and not funny ha-ha unfortunately).
At work we've been slaving away this last coupla weeks getting kit ready for the BMF - I wasn't asked to attend, nor do I want to, so that's good. But been knackered at the end of every day, due to shifting heavy boxes full of jackets, lids, locks etc - this is really no good for my dodgy arm, but what can ya do - at least it's paid work :\
My Dad had a fall the other day, and hurt his leg and maybe cracked/bruised ribs, so been waiting on him hand and foot whilst at home, and this morning he wakes up feeling unwell. So he's been carted off to hospital by ambulance (again - this is getting all too common, and I wonder if he'll be around much longer, sad to say).
Worried about going off to Europe for 3 weeks if he's in this condition - what should I do? My brother is around some of the time, but can't always be here to look after him, and I wonder if I should just shelve all my commitments from now on and concentrate on taking care of him? Still gotta work though. Dilemmas, dilemmas....
Was going to make a concerted effort to find work elsewhere, and then find myself a flat (Gloucester was in my sights, nice and central for a fairly large area, so more chance of work, and rent prices affordable) but now think I'll have to scrap that idea too. It's too far for me to commute in the car - 35 miles each way, don't want to put that on the bike cos it's not what I bought it for, but only have use of my Dad's car, which is a feckin' 1.8 jobby, so that'll be real expensive - plus I don't think I'd have the energy to do it. Can't afford another, cheaper bike what with the Euro trip coming up, which is likely to take me into the red anyway, plus still only half way through paying the loan for the one I've got now.
So all that is one reason I've not been available much lately. A lot on my mind, and deffo haven't been in banter mode. Sorry if anyone was worried, but makes me feel better knowing there are people out there that give a damn - thankyou
