I'd recommend a Givi Monokey system, with a 50+ topbox:

Then put a tank pad when needed and soft luggage panniers - they can be locked beneath the seat, and carried over your shoulder easier than two big hard boxes. That's my choice. I also prefer panniers because they cushion a fall and don't break on falls, also they are a bit narrower so you can filter with them.
