cheers mark......once fully welded i will grind the bottom plate and welds flush with the sides and soften the edges,before spot welding i assembled leaving 1.5mm gap between the base and sides for this reason.....i think it might look a bit bulky but had to be this size to accomadate the wiring and plug for the speedo etc....need to make a couple of straps to mount it,25mm strip steel with two holes at one end to mount to cover and one at other end to bolt to yoke.
