Simple really, it ticked all the boxes.
I learned on a 650 bandit so didn't want anything slower than that, and most middleweights in my price range are around 60-70bhp.
I didn't want anything bigger than a 750 for insurance purposes.
I didn't want a sports bike for the same reason.
I need a fairing for my motorway commute.
The FZS600 is the only bike that has over 85bhp, a half fairing, fuel gauge, under seat storage and a centre stand. Perfect for me.
The only downside is that I paid way over the odds for it from a dealer, but it was worth it for the warranty when the clutch went a-knacker.
