Well, they're silicone instead of rubber so they'll last forever in bike years... the rubber ones on most peoples bikes are original and starting to show their age so not a bad idea to replace them. It also encourages people to change their coolant which is an often overlooked service item by DIY servicing.
They do look so much better than the standard ones too, if you don't want them to be too flash then you can get black ones which are nice and shiny
It's not cheap but I'm pretty sure everyone that bought them last time loves them.
