Engine Bars or Crash bungs??

Never had bungs on but had some bars on mine, did a total strip down and rebuild a year back and left them off for cosmetic reasons, they really stuck out, a lot, I mean, way out! Guess it's a personal preference for cosmetic reasons, if you stuff it down the road, you're going to do a lot of damage anyway, esp to the fairing area, the bungs/bars will at least protect the engine casings.
