Reliability is definitely NOT an issue - I don't know anyone with an Aprilia who has had reliability problems.
Build quality is way ahead of our other bikes (we currently have another 4 Honda's, 3 Yamaha's, 1 Reiju and 1 Chinese copy of an XLR 125 in our garage). It's also better than our prior bikes.
Aprilia electrics are also as reliable as anything Japanese. Despite it being a big V-Twin, I've just today replaced my RSV battery - the first has lasted 11 years (always on an optimate when not running) and I've not even had as much as a bulb blow.
Aprilia's are NOT Ducati's.
After the RSV, our Honda's have always had the best build quality - but we've never had an unreliable bike in the last 25 years - if you look after them, they look after youÂ
