Most modern sports touring tyres will serve your needs, ive been using metzeler z6 for the past two years and love them esp at £160 a pair! I believe the pirelli equivelents are a little cheaper.

+1 for the Metzeler Z6. Suit my needs and never let me down. Its a bit of a personal preference re tyres, price, riding style etc.

Been using Metzelers too. I do around 7K miles a year, mostly round city. Had about 15 months out of a Z6 on front before I got a puncture. Probably had a 3-4 months grip in it. Got Z6 on rear too, that went on last July ish, still got loads of life in it. Put a Z8 on front last month, seems good so far, no complaints, but not pushed it to limits yet though.
