Of course, there is always the possibility that the one pictured above is a UK bike that has had a paintjob. I don't think the American ones had the 2 tone black and grey with that black stripe down the centre of the tank. Maybe it was a previous owners preference to have 'FZ1' graphics on the upper cowling rather than 'Fazer'  :rolleyes

That paintjob is definitely an original american paint job. For what it's worth i think it's really nice
