lol re screw. I think I can talk about it now...
Bike was running rough low down as had been standing so I took the bank of carbs off to strip and clean them. I did not drain coolant but instead plugged both of the carb heater lines with small M4 or M5 screws to stop coolant peeing everywhere.
Caried on and got carbs off but then saw puddle of coolant ungder bike. looked at one of the carb heater lines and the screw was nowhere to be seen. Pipe was close to inlet to number 3 cylinder but figured chances of it going in would have been very slim.
Anyway put all back together last night, started. Sounded really good low down untill ping ping ping rattle clunk. I am guessing it is lodged in head against valve or has made it's way into combustion chamber. It did not sound happy..
