You can get adjustable pegs for the fz1 which will make a decent enough difference.

Renthals on an R1. Did it to mine, and the bike was incredible for my 6'1" frame with 36" inside leg, and uber length arms.
Strangely enough though, the fz1 is slightly comfier to me than my old R1, but I'm not sure why. :
