Always had a battle with myself whether or not to modify bikes to make more personal and also to be slightly different from the rest.. Truth of the matter is, a bike has its value depending on mileage/condition etc, unless you are going down the route of full on bespoke fabrication.. Even with the latter, rarely the money spent is ever recovered.. Generally the well serviced, stock, unmodified bike is the more sound route economically.. Doesn't ever stop the urge tho
