Ah, if its blowing and rattling from there then it won't be the gasket as that is further down the pipe...

I would guess that you may have the same issue as Paul mentioned above. There may be some lose debris (carbon deposits) in there so removing the exhaust and shaking it might get it out... but if its blowing then it may be time for a new can. OEM ones aren't expensive - only £10-20 on eBay or someone on the forums might have one for the cost of postage
