Help needed with posts

I've always wondered this & if you upload pics like me by choosing file & then clicking on a pic stored in your computer then i dont think it works coz the pic doesnt appear until you hit post.....so that stops you putting in the text.


Now theres this IMG code thing where basically it seems to be a code that links to where the pic is stored ie if the pic is yamaha uk website then the foc-u website just plucks it from that site by reading the code....ok im talking normal speak here as im not a computer guru...but anyway when you just put the code in on your post it is a code on the screen..just like when you write on the screen to post.....so you can click below the code & type as normal.




So you have codes with writing below them.




Then by magic when you hit post the codes turn into pictures.




I havent quite figured out how to get the IMG code for a pic thats already in my computer or ipad though.....i think they must have one.......but dunno. :\
