you make the bond with more abs plastic. I typically use a piece of a broken fairing, just slice it into thin shards with a stanley knife. If you don't have any then you can find ABS marked plastic on things at asda etc, tupperware boxes, buckets etc Even drainpipes. Colour matching is good practice though...
There will be plenty of vids on youtube of people doing this. A quick look and this one is not a bad vid and he is adding loads of material.

It all looks a bit low rent but its the only real way to do it. You will be surprised at the result, your literally just melting plastic back together and as long as you don't burn it it won't go charred and rock hard.
