sounds like you guys have made my mind up for me.
it is rideable, I rode it to work on Monday (70 mile round trip).
I may try fixing the fairings as I still have the bits that broke off....

old photo. ive peeled the black wrap off the back, and put the givi rack back on. since. Oh, and refitted the stock bars and screen.
