Why did you choose a Fazer8 / FZ8 over either a 600 or 1000

I bought the Fazer8 as it has a bigger fairing than the 1000 & higher MPG. I didn't need 150bhp. I needed a bike with more than the 600, so the 800 was the best choice for me. Brand loyalty, local dealer 1 1/2 miles away and reliability were some of the reasons over other brands.
Reading a Street Triple forum, they are now built in Thailand and are suffering more issues than the used to. I had a 07 model for a couple of years, great bike.
