Just throwing my opinion out there - looks like he overcooked it a bit in the bend then to his surprise sees an oncoming truck. The result is a bit of target fixation and in trying to avoid a collision (which would probably have been damn close) lost the front end of the bike sending it skidding in to the path of the truck

If the truck hadn't of been there, the biker would likely have gotten round the bend, maybe crossing the white line slightly, but I doubt he would have lost control.

To me it seems like a typical mistake that we have all done once before by not reading the road properly, but this guy unfortunately didn't get off as easily as only a new pair of underwear required
