Intermittent Cut Out

A sudden cut out would suggest an electrical problem to me too. You can rule out all of the starting circuit and cut off switches if the starter spins since I think the cut out switches would stop the starter spinning on the fazer. You can probably also rule out the coils and everything after them since it's unlikely that both coils would similtaneously have a problem. So the problem has to be somewhere in the wiring or connectors that are common to both coils but not the starting circuit. Have a look at the wiring diagram and see what wires and connectors effect both coils. There'll probably be a dodgy connection or wire in there somewhere.
