When I bought my 125 (Varadero), I rode it from Hull to Leeds, then the next day Leeds to north Essex, on CBT so avoiding motorways. That second leg took 5 hours and wasn't much fun I can tell you but I did hit 70mph on the A1! An 80 mile bimble across Suffolk and the flatlands should be a breeze 
Maybe plot a more cross country route, it'll definitely be more enjoyable that those bloody roads. I can't tell you how happy I am not to be a regular on the A14 these days!
