You obviously want to, otherwise why would you ask? Remember a service is not just changing consumables. It is also checking and adjusting everything. Do that. And do an oil and filter change if it will make you happier going on your trip knowing your machine is good. I would ALWAYS service my bike before a big trip, even if nothing needs changing. Its Easier to torque up nuts and lube cables at home than at the side of the road.
