As far as I know, 'WezDavo' might be the only person on the Board who has / might have owned all three - standard, modded Fazer 1000 and R6 rear shocks on his bike, so could offer the best advice.
If you stick with standard, I think Hans of Caledonian Engineering still rebuilds standard shocks at a decent price |
