New headstock bearings...but

You've adjusted them to tight mate - shouldn't be any resistance to them at all.Get the front of the bike in the air, loosen off the bearing adjuster nut. Then tighten it so that all up and down motion in the yokes is gone, and then an extra 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Ride for a week or so, then check them (they do have a bit of a break in time)
