A stiffer spring might stop the shock bottoming out 2-up, but the lack of rebound damping will send a solo rider into orbit. Its worth keeping your eye out for 2nd hand shocks as some people sell bits on separately when they
trade in the bike and its the same size as the FZ1 shock. Stiffer fork springs and heavier weight oil help the front.
