I've got K-tech modded '03 forks in mine, too.
These forks were modded for use on an R1 by the previous owner (ebay purchase, so no details unfortunately) so while the springs might be a bit stiffer - and most likely linear not progressive - I can also say that they've been just fine on the Fazer.
My inclination would be to buy, fit and try. If you discover that they're undersprung, it's no big deal to drop the forks out and have new springs installed later on.
