After experimentation with starting my bike in the recent cold and wet weather, my Fazer likes full choke to start and no throttle whatsoever. About 3-5 seconds after it starts, the revs die down so much (around 1k or just under) that it sounds in danger of stalling -- but it doesn't. It was at this point I was previously giving it a bit of throttle but this floods the engine making it stall and difficult to start again for about 30 minutes. So I resist the throttle and after a few more seconds the revs pick up to 2-3k and I can start reducing the choke.
Added this in case any other noobie like me has the same problems starting a cold, soggy Fazer.
Yup, that's what I find is working, max choke, no throttle, push the button till it starts and let it settle before adjusting anything.

I do max third choke then it revs to 4k and i have to back off.
Must be the K&N
