Hi skippernick, I have mate but the expense has stopped me for now, also its my missus that struggles more than me and I cant drop the rear pegs enough to suit.

try this as a cheap idea to see if it helps, i have one for longer journeys as i have the same problem, knackered knees after an hour, this seat pad means i can go for at least 2!
