3 and a half hours on charge while I went into town on the bus (I feel so dirty 
) and she started first time.
No clicks from the fuel pump, the carbs were probably still overflowing.
Battery has always been fine, but this is the coldest and longest between starts I've ever had since I got the bike in April.
Best theory, I flooded the bike, then in my continued attempts to start her I drained the battery too low to be of use.
All being well the bike will be fine unless I screw up again.
