Although in one sense its a credit to its former owner-did he ever really enjoy ownership or was he too worried about a bit of rain or mud? When I owned mine it was a credit to its former owners but had also been ridden & thoroughly enjoyed. Bling is good but there are many useful mods to these Gen 1 thous eg "Ivanising" & suspension upgrades. I would be very surprised if you find anyone willing to pay what you are asking and I presume you bought it and then found it didnt meet your expectations. In the present recession there are many for sale in top condition around £2500-£3000 but I wish you well!
Agreed there are many out there in top condition for £2500-£3000.
I don't think the previous owner enjoyed the bike at all, he too suffered from a rain and mud phobia.
It's a dilemma, knowing what to do with such a perfect example but I suspect the next set of photos might show it sitting in a bike bubble :'(
