Seat lock seized - ideas?
#6

I had exactly the same problem last winter.

you need to get under the bike. As Ive got Scorpion exhaust it's real easy to get at the catch that is holding the seat in place. You need to use a long thin screwdriver to push / slide the mechanism to release the seat.

So anybody that rides in damp wet conditions is going to suffer this problem as the seat lock mechanism is exposed when you install aftermarket exhaust cans and is going to seize, so it's important to give this area some regular attention .

Hope this helps.

I'm a biker, if you need to ask why, you wouldn't understand.
