Have to agree with codgie - check out Comprehensive cover as it is working out cheaper for me these days 
I went from my 600 to the 1000, TPFT to Comp and £1500 cover to £3500 cover for all of £50 extra (plus a stupid £40 admin charge) so not really that bad...
