That seems to be Rover / MG trademark with these engines 
Was talking with my mechanic a few months back and he was pointing out that mine and my friends car both had lazy V6's (my friends car is the Mitsubishi FTO in the photo above - 2L V6 150~ bhp). He then proceeded to show us his modified VW Caddy which I think was a either a 3.2L or 3.6L V6 putting out over 300bhp
Still, I prefer the sound of a V8
