hi chris and welcome.......if you do a search you will find this question has been asked before..think i might have started it 
......depends on what you like doing best and your budget....the 600 is good at communting and a blast at the weekend....the thou is a bit big and thirsty around town but better on fast A roads and touring....both great bikes,i have both and this the best option
