Rear wheel bearings consist of two ball bearings, so not much cost there, but also a long thin walled needle race on the inner sprocket side and that's where the cost is - have to be careful removing and fitting it.....
Have changed the linkage bearings and seals etc but just greased the under swing arm needle as not sure if I will be able to get the new one back in cleanly on the bike. Going to wait until I take the swing arm out to grease its bearings and will do it then. Vertical play in the wheel is now about 4mm.
The lower shock bearing is a needle - similar size to the other ones. Don't understand why it's not a rose joint to take any lateral movement - Yamaha are a bit odd like thisĀ - the rest of the bike is 98% brilliant and is let down by the odd design flaw. Still pays yer money and takes yer choice etc etc!!!
