i've no idea to what situation youre referring to, but i agree with what you said in the original post. i ride with a few others occasionally and i cant believe how many close shaves and near misses i see. but the majority of my mates will blame the car/situation/other rather than admitting being in the wrong. i ride defensively all the time, and i generally second guess what your average motorist is about to do. although the risk factor increases as speed goes up, so if you find yourself having a few incidents, slow down. youre not as good as you think you are.
