Got it serviced. I had had advisories on the MOT that the headrace bearings were possibly on their way out and the rear brake pads were approaching their wear limit.
The same place told me today "we tightened the headstock, it's fine and you've got at least a couple of thousand miles left in those rear brake pads!"
