13 Observations from 40 years of motorcycling
#3
A few more:
1. The sound of plastic and metal sliding down the road in a shower of sparks is not a pleasant one.
2. Every car driver is out to get you - treat them as such.
3. Unfamiliar blind crests always have a sharp bend on the other side.
4. You can never get the smell of Jizer out of your jeans. (No, the degreaser, dummy!)
5. Never go back to the bikes of your youth - you'll always be disappointed. (Keep those rose-tinted specs!)
6. Look at where you don't want to go, and that's just as assuredly where you'll end up.
7. Hedges make for very soft landings.
