Having similar problem with my bike but only started after I serviced the bike myself and that is with the OEM can on. But I have just changed my spark caps due to damaged rubber and will testing it out tomorrow. I also found a few stones in the sink hole that I have cleaned out as it may stop a solid connection between plug and cap.

I will test and get back to you
