Wouldn't it be easier to just spray the risers you have? would save having to buy new ones 
A bit of sand paper or a small, not too harsh, file might help you to tidy up/round off the chewed up part of the crash bung so it doesn't look quite so bad then a quick spray would as you say make it less noticeable.
