I had a similar issue with mine, the pressure plate MUST seat correctly in the spines or it won't function properly (this is how I broke mine
)
Also, check to make sure that the plates are in the correct order and that the judder spring is in the right place with the correct plate sat around it - one of the friction plates has a larger internal diameter to accommodate it. Shouldn't take too long to whip it all off and check
