Oil from crankcase smells a bit petrol'y!

Not sure about the petrol but it daoesnt matter if the bikes running or not- if its been on its side for the slightest bit of time chances are oil has made its way into the airbox and filter, k and n can be cleaned and 'recharged' (oiled) that's the joy of them and why overall they save you money.
Recharge kits can be bought online or halfords!
