just done my man cave 5 x 4 metres, 65 mm gap filled it with kingspan kooltherm of e bay. 50mm thick, so a 15mm gap, then plaster boarded and plastered, its a timber frame,? waiting to see what happens. if it cracks going to put up coving to cover it, the info I found was very different from person to person, good luck m8. I just went for it,  fingers crossed the plaster is not drying to quick.
