By using two pipes to effectively extend the length of the forks, you can see if they are twisted as they won't be in line with each other - one will be further forward and one further back. You can then use this as a way to calibrate them back to being straight. In any case, I don't think you'll find any problem on yours as you mostly slid instead of having a hard impact like mine was - but then my forks were pretty mashed up and you'd have to be blind to not see it
