Not again!! Cam Chain Tensioner Spring

Have you tried holding the tensioner blade against the chain with your finger through the tensioner hole whilst manually turning the motor? If you have any tight spots on the camĀ  chain the blade will move back and forth excessively which might explain two broken springs. The manual tensioner could be exerting a lot of stress on the valve train components if this is the case.
Is there ANYTHING out there that I can replace my 12 year old bike with? I think not.
